Factories and workshops
The impact resistance of Formica laminates, particularly Compact Grade, ensures their suitability for industrial areas where surfaces are liable to heavy wear and tear from tools, machinery and transport devices.
Examples are doors, partitions, wall panels, fire walls and ducting manufactured from Formica laminate, giving you strength and durability. Similarly, laminate is suitable for bench tops, counter tops and other fitted workshop furniture requiring surfaces that will tolerate abrasion and dirt.
Formica Compact (CGF Grade at 6mm and above) have Class 0 fire rating, as do Formica HPL in VFP Grade and CGF at less than 6mm thickness when bonded to an appropriate flame-retardant substrate with appropriate adhesive. Scientific applications
You can use Formica laminate throughout laboratories, clean rooms, and associated areas. For lab benches and tables, for cupboards, cabinets and shelving, for furniture and for wall finishing, laminate products provide an easily maintained, hygienic surface.
Formica laminates easily meet the requirements of EN 438 test method 15, which specifies resistance to staining by many substances.
Formica Chemtop2 is the ideal solution for labs, its resistance to harsh chemicals, ease of maintenance, durability and cost-effectiveness put it in a class of its own. Warehousing and storage
Extensive areas of racking and shelving benefit from the smooth surface of Formica laminate: you can move stored items easily, while the surface retains its finish well without excessive upkeep. Colour-coding of storage areas is simple with our extensive range of Plain Colours. Laminate products are equally appropriate for furnishing and fitting-out of warehouse office areas and service points.
Clean conditions
Working with hazardous materials, or in conditions where dirt is inevitable, puts a premium on good sanitary provision in the workplace. Chemtop2™ excels in these circumstances.
Similarly, fitting out your sanitation and maintenance areas with Formica laminate creates working and storage facilities that will themselves be clean, tidy and easy to look after - the basis for efficient cleanliness in the rest of the building.
