Hospitals, chemical labs, hair salons – many settings demand work surfaces with high resistance to chemicals. Formica is introducing a new high-pressure laminate with a specially treated surface that stands up to the pressure of harsh acids and other aggressive substances.
"With Formica’s new Chemtop2 high-pressure laminate, even chemical and medical workplaces can combine attractive design with a tough and durable material in their interiors," says Hans Laurén at Formica.
Chemtop2 is a laminate for surfaces that stands up to harsh use. It is highly chemical resistant, scratchresistant and easy-care. Chemtop2 can be used for both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Chemtop2 is ideal for exposed surfaces like worktops, desktops, cupboards and wall panels.
“We have chosen a clean and simple design so the material fits the widest range of settings possible. Chemtop2 is available in six basic colours and can be combined with other products in our laminate collection based on the customer’s requirements for form and function,” says Laurén.
Formica is launching Chemtop2 in two versions: 0.7 mm thick post-formable high-pressure laminate and Compact laminate. The Compact laminate is dual-sided and available in thicknesses of 16 and 19 mm. The surface requires very little maintenance and can be cleaned with a damp cloth or cleaning product.
